If you’re anything like me, then you’ll agree that you hate doing laundry. More so, you get frustrated when you find your clothes shrinking. Here are the 3 hated types of shrinking that are frustrating Americans:
Felting shrinkage: When the fabric meshes and compresses as a result of exposure to excessive moisture and heat.
Consolidation shrinkage: This happens mostly when washing or drying. When the washing effort, heat and water combine, the material tends to shrink.
Relaxation shrinkage: This is caused by the exposure of the fabric to excessive heat.
Now, the good news is that you can solve all this by just taking 3 smart actions:
- Throw in 3 tablespoons of conditioner into some water and soak the fabric for about 5 minutes.
- Place the fabric on a dry towel, and then roll it up to get rid of excess water.
- Take it out of the first towel and place it on a second dry towel, then stretch it to its usual size and leave it to dry.
Simple and fast!
