Search for the cultures that are responsible for the good tasting food and you can’t miss the Mexicans and the Italians. The boot-shaped country within the Mediterranean is the origin of the delicious pastas and pizzas. Our neighbors from the south are responsible for the burritos, Tacos and many others.
Now imagine combining the Mexican and Italian cuisines and coming up with one treat.
We are bringing to you the taco pizza rolls which your friends and family will love to eat. Once you have gone through the recipe below, I’m sure they will form part of your dinner menu.
You will need:
- Ground beef (1/2 pound)
- Refrigerator pizza dough (1 tube)
- Taco seasoning mix (2 tbsp.)
- Water (3 tbsp.)
- Shredded Mexican cheese (1 cup)
- Recommended toppings: sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, guacamole, hot sauce, salsa
The oven is preheated to 400°F and a frying pan is oiled to medium-high heat.
The beef is cooked until all the pinkness disappears and then the water and taco seasoning is added. Mix thoroughly.
On a surface that is lightly floured, unroll the pizza dough. Then use the ground beef to make a layer and then use Mexican cheese to cover it.
Starting from the long end, roll the dough until its entire length is wrapped up. Then the taco pizza is cut into 1-inch sliced using a sharp knife.
The rolls are then arranged on a baking sheet and baking is done in an oven that is preheated for the next 10-12 minutes.
Then they can be removed from the oven once golden brown and covered using the preferred toppings.
